The new Wells Elementary School is designed for 600 students in grades K-4. The project was 100% locally funded and involved a collaborative fundraising effort among the district administration, staff, students, and design team. As a result of teacher and community workshops, the arts were selected to be at the heart of the school, which shaped the entrance lobby. The new school provides appropriate space for performance, art, and music. The stage is designed for viewing from either the gym or the cafeteria to allow for different sized audiences.
