Treats Falls is a 16,000 s.f. Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) and provides nursing care for individuals with extensive medical and/or behavior needs. With the assistance of a USDA RD Loan, this renovation and additions include extensive ADA upgrades and an energy-efficient design. Improved site circulation and a new main entrance creating a welcoming atmosphere for the residents, families, and visitors. This project was constructed in two phases while the building was occupied. Careful consideration is given to providing acoustic separation and safety. Design Group Collaborative was involved from pre-design through construction administration, as well as art selection and procurement. This featured the work of many local artists, including paintings by Kris Sader, house sculptures by Robert Haskell, and custom hooked rugs by Maryann McKellar.
