Design Group Collaborative has provided continued design support for the Claremont Hotel located on Somes Sound in Southwest Harbor, Maine. The Boathouse Restaurant is a local summertime favorite and Southwest Harbor’s best-kept secret. Located on a pier overhanging the water the building first served as an equipment boathouse in the 1930s. It became a lunch restaurant in the 1970s.

The space was renovated, opening up the ocean views to the patrons, replacing the entire kitchen and bar areas as well as providing reinforced structuring under the entire pier. DGC provided DEP permitting services to achieve all of the upgrades.
