Penobscot River Trails:

Visitor Center

One of the four major buildings on Penobscot River Trail’s Long Logan Campus that DGC designed and oversaw through construction and furnishing, the Visitor Center is the public, welcoming face of the campus. Owned by a family funded charitable foundation, the Penobscot River Trail’s Visitor Center is 1,400b square feet and includes a check-in area, a large warming and gathering room, public bathrooms as well as field staff, and outfitting areas. The Visitor Center is located near the entrance to the campus at the trailheads and tote road allows visitors direct access to the 15.5 miles of hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and 9.3 miles of snowshoe trails as well close access to one of the kayak launches.

Penobscot River Trails was voted the Best New Trail System by DownEast Magazine in 2019. See our other Penobscot River Trails projects, the Headquarters and the Warming Huts.
